The Credits 2016
Giving Credit Where Credit's Due
Heritage Mississauga
Heritage Mississauga is the only city-wide independent not-for-profit charity dedicated to researching, recording and communicating Mississauga’s diverse heritage; our research and programs are a reflection of that heritage. We are respected by the community and recognized as experts in the field of research, writing and program delivery; we have been in existence for over 56 years. Heritage Mississauga strives to create a sustainable heritage resource which contributes to the cultural vibrancy of our local community and which will be available to all peoples.
The Credits Awards Program
The Credits is an annual awards program which recognizes and celebrates "Heritage Heroes" in the community. Fifteen awards are presented in total with most winners being chosen by a panel of independant jurors. Heritage Mississauga has recognized heroes in the community for over 21 years, presenting the Credits gala for the last four. Nominations are received from many diverse groups and the celebration of local community anniversaries are also an important aspect of this fully inclusive program.
